The Reverend Dr. Renee C. Jackson
Dr. Jackson is honored to serve the fun loving and faithful congregation of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Imlay City as their pastor and teacher. Dr. Jackson is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. She holds an earned Doctor of Ministry degree from the United Theological Seminary and is a graduate of the Chicago Theological Seminary where she received the Master of Divinity degree.
Dr. Jackson understands her ministerial calling as helping people of faith to build bridges across the divides that separate human beings from one another. It is her desire to live as an ambassador for Jesus Christ, encouraging others to be agents of justice who lead tangible and transformative change in their communities and the world.
In addition to her pastoral responsibilities, Dr. Jackson serves the Michigan Conference as the Southeast Area Minister, supporting the churches of the Detroit Metropolitan and Eastern Associations. Dr. Jackson also serves on the Boards of Directors of the Evangelical Homes of Michigan, a health and human service ministry related to the United Church of Christ, and the Ecumenical Center for Christian Leadership, an ecumenical organization that offers respite and training to church leaders.
